Kiskiyihta Indigenous Summer Student Program

Applications will open soon for SRC's Indigenous Summer Student Program, Kiskiyihta, formerly the Aboriginal Mentorship Program (AMP). Check back soon!

Kiskiyihta (Kiskee ih-taah) is the name of SRC's Indigenous Summer Student Program and is a Cree word meaning to learn or to know.

Kiskiyihta provides Indigenous students studying at a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution with opportunities for hands-on learning in a research and technology environment at SRC. The program includes unique opportunities to learn and grow that include one-on-one mentorship/coaching and connection points throughout the experience. The program will run for three to four months each summer.

The program is part of SRC's Indigenous Workforce Program, a Pillar 1 Employment initiative from SRC's Indigenous Action Plan, which centres on Indigenous Peoples, communities and businesses to help achieve shared goals.
