SRC’s Lithium Pilot Plant

Our pilot plant is a state-of-the-art facility and is one of only a few in North America and Europe, providing industry a unique platform to test, demonstrate and refine their processes. See the facility in action.

Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) Technology

Our team is developing and testing a DLE technology for lithium from brine extraction, built in-house to overcome common process challenges and to optimize costs. Our aim is to have a DLE technology that is:

  • Optimized for a variety of conditions
  • Uses an efficient chemical process
  • Flexible for a range of brine compositions

We also offer specialized performance testing of other DLE technologies.

Lithium Battery Metals Direct Recycling Process

SRC also develops and tests lithium-ion battery recycling technologies, from physical processing to black mass processing, to produce high-purity lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese, copper, aluminum and graphite.

Our innovative black mass process minimizes water and chemical consumptions, maximizing the recovery of various components directly to their end-user forms.
